Chest Run Guide: Port Slege
This is a chest run which you need to have access to Port Slege, Just south east of Droks.
You will need a minimum of 3 Shiverpeak keys per run, and also a character with these general skills.
I use a W/Mo.
----------------------------------
Skills
Sprint--> Running
Charge--> Running
Ballanced Stance--> knock down prevention
Endure Pain--> emergency Heal (ie. fast cast time)
Remove Hex-> The enemys often cast hexes, which cause skill regen time to increase, or health degeneration.
Mending/ Healing Breeze-> to be used when needed, running heal ect.
Healing Signet--> when no enemies are around, a good heal. enemies in this area can interupt.
Resurection Signet-> for team Runs only
-------------------------------------
The Path of travel. Starting from Port Slege Follow the map provided.
The Chests will be with in the field of vision when the path of travel is followed, and There are 3 Chests in total.
------------------------------------
The Drops:
I have had Runs where all Gold drop, and others where all Purple Drop.
The drops are always in my expierence Max damage. I have a guild member who has run this several times, and found items with 15^50%, and with max mods as well.
Those items can bring in above 50k. With that, it is unfair to say that you can get a consistant 10k an hour, there will be more if you choose to sell to an individual interested in the peticular item found.
***New***
This run is very likely to get max damage items, however these items are more commonly found to be high requirements.
The weapon mods are often worth salvaging, so it maybe a good place to farm that.
Also, This run may be most effective for aquiring titles for Chest opening, and Rare item identification.
------------------------------------
Final Note:
I am not taking credit for this, it has been posted many times before.
I simply felt the need to post something "better" than the others.
Expect guides of other chest runs from me which will present in the same manor.
If there are any problems feel free to contact me though PM.
Also Contact me with any requests like these.

drops are pretty crappy there, you only have a little chance to get ONE nice item. many req 13 wans
run there if you need mods.
I just tried hell's precipice chest run, I find it very fun. not that hard, with a good drop rate.

Well, unfortunately, this is a place that is probably better considered a "trial chest run" area. Where someone can make very small amounts of money. You will generally only break even with the cost of keys versus the cost of the items you will find. That said, here's what this run is actually good for:
1 - The items here will most likely be poor, high req items, with odd stats and/or poor stats.
2 - The good part, is that the items may be desirable things. Ugly stupid swords of Poo may have a 30hp grip on them. Salvage that. Your weapon sucked, but the salvagable mods on them can be great. You would be wiser to look for this, instead of looking for completely perfect golds here. You can sell "parts" of weapons and make good money. So long as they're in demand. Grips with +armor, +health, etc. Various strings (vampiric, zealous). Various health grips. So keep an eye for Mods. Not for items. Salvage, Salvage, Salvage.
Cheers!

1) Its one of the best places to run if your looking for treasure hunter title
2) Not all drops are bad, you can get fellblades, half moons, flamberges, and other pretty nice skins.

Quite true.
It is a good place to quickly earn the Treasure hunter title. However, spending 60k on 100 keys just in this area, in an attempt to get that title (at least the first title of the series), and not do it elsewhere, where items are going to be better is kind of a conflict.
It is true, you can get some fine items here. It's not going to be common, at all though. It's worth noting that good items can drop/pop out of a chest nearly anywhere in this game. The point is, not to expect awesome items from these chests and merely be pleased when it does happen.
Point in case (because I too use this area from time to time), just to give a real example from about 10 minutes ago (and yes, I laughed... what luck :P). The axe is pretty worthless, but some parts of it are worth taking. Unfortunately... sometimes, we don't get what we were after.

I like Holy Veil > Remove Hex..
Holy Veil makes hexes cast double their casting time and once you remove the enchant or is removed, you lose a hex. I don't remember if there are many strippers over there, but I use Holy Veil over Remove Hex during my Raisu chest runs.

The only hex of any importance in this area is Mind Freeze from Maak Frostfriend. Preveiling > any other hex removal there (at least in my experience with this run).

I do this run quite a bit, for the titles (Treasure Hunter and Seeker of Wisdom). I've had many great drops (including a req 8 15^50 longbow 20/19 sundering, and 15^hexed 20/19 sundering flamberage, to name a few).
Nice work!

I've given up on Port Sledge and chest runs in general after over-doing this run. I got one sword pommel that I sold for some 100k when SF just came out (vs Dwarves 20%), but other than that, I never received anything that was even worthy of being sold. So many garbage purple and gold staves/wands.

In general, yea. Unfortunate. That's the difference between a very, very easy chest running zone and one that is not easy and is difficult.
The difference between the quality of drops, seemingly anyways, in Whitman's Folly compared to say, Iceflow, should be more noticeable. Or maybe that was just me, being lucky. But over a long time, I noticed it. I expected it too, since Anet just nerfs anything that is too easily accessed.
